General Customer Information: The Harvard Design Books website is a collaboration between two Harvard Graduate School of Design departments, Publications and Harvard Design Magazine. After each order is placed, it is forwarded to the appropriate entity for processing and shipment. Please review the headings below based upon your specific order or question to find more information and email contacts. Current GSD students: GSD students receive a 20% discount on all books purchased through the Student Services office on the 4th floor of Gund Hall. These purchases can be term billed. We are currently not able to give discounts through the website. Students also receive complimentary copies of Harvard Design Magazine in their mailboxes late September and mid-March each year they are enrolled. GSD Faculty, Staff, and Alumni: Discounts on book titles are only offered to current students. For information about Harvard Design Magazine discounts, please email: gethdm@gsd.harvard.edu Bookstore Retailers: Contact the Publications Department directly at books@gsd.harvard.edu in order to acquire a discount code for purchase orders placed on our website. Purchases whose credit cards are declined for whatever reason are automatically cancelled. Customers are then notified via email. Shipping Policies: Harvard Design Magazine: Harvard Design Magazine is published bi-annually (March and September) by the Harvard University Graduate School of Design with approximately 128 pages per issue. All Harvard Design Magazine subscriptions will begin with the current issue unless otherwise noted. Rates include first class postage and handling. All orders and subscriptions are processed and shipped through the Harvard Design Magazine office. Please allow 3 weeks for processing and delivery. Book Orders: All book orders placed online through the Harvard Design Bookstore are processed and shipped once per week by the publications office at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. The weekly cut-off time for shipments is 8am, Wednesdays. While we will do everything we can to guarantee shipments go out that day, we reserve the right to alter it if necessary due to our staff size. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation email. Please allow 5 to 7 days for delivery after receiving confirmation of shipment if ordering within the United States. Please be aware that delivery of international orders will require more time and additional shipment charges will be applied as you complete the checkout process. Harvard Design Bookstore customers have the option of either media mail or priority mail via the United States Postal Service (USPS) for all titles except Harvard Design Magazine. Harvard Design Magazine can only be shipped via first class mail, and will be sent separately by the Harvard Design Magazine office. For any orders over 15 pounds, additional charges will apply. Shipping charges are based upon the weight of your order and are automatically calculated as you proceed through the online checkout process. No Returns or Refunds.
